Enabling Leaders is the new leadership development programme for disabled and neurodivergent clergy and laity, funded by the Archbishops’ Council. As a result, it is somewhat different from other courses and programmes. A key principle underlying this programme is that it is not based on a “deficit” model which assumes that disabled and neurodivergent people won’t be able to cope with leadership demands. Rather, the programme builds on the huge range of gifts, insights and lived experience of our participants, giving them the tools to lead effectively.

This second session considers some of the barriers that can hold us back from reaching our goals, and how these might be overcome.
