Prabhu was born and educated in India. he is a British and Swiss citizen, and works worldwide as a Board consultant, poet and publisher. 

For 15 years, he worked for one of the largest banks in the world, where he was responsible for think tanks, briefings, and the Distinguished Speaker Series. Through these activities, he had the unique job of working with innovative and outstanding people throughout the world, to identify new ideas that might bring value to the bank.

Prabhu was subsequently Distinguished Professor of Global Business, Management and Public Policy at William Carey University, India. However, he has never confined himself to one genre or one theme. His extensive writing covers business-related issues, poetry, literature, philosophy and spirituality. He compiled the very first Bibliography of Black British Literature which covers the period from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Prabhu describes himself as a “Hindu follower of Jesus”.
